Master Gardener's presentation; Charter amended - Meeting highlights for Feb. 16, 2010

posted Feb 17, 2010 7:46 PM by Allen Shaw
At our meeting last night we were honored to welcome Master Gardener Mary Ann Kelley, who outlined some excellent tips for urban beautification projects, specifically relating to urban development projects now in the works for the downtown Sherman area.

After the presentation and a short break, members and friends gathered for a short business meeting.  Among discussion of other topics, members voted to ratify a set of amendments to the Garden charter, which will institute the election of Auxiliary Officers concurrent with Elected Officers.  An amended copy of the Charter is now available on the Charter, Bylaws, and Documents page.  These amendments also changed the election date for officers; elections are now to be held in April, with officers starting their one-year terms on June 1 after elections.
