Why Have a Community Garden?

A community garden is not just a place to grow plants.  It's a way to bring value to our area by
  • Building community among Sherman residents
  • Providing opportunity for learning and teaching new skills
  • Increasing knowledge of gardening
  • Promoting environmental and food sustainability
  • Providing an alternative source of food
  • Providing cheaper and fresher produce
  • Promoting physical health
  • Beautifying the area
We look forward to building this community garden with you.  In fact, we can't do it without you.
